TOUR HIGHLIGHTS & INCLUSIONS

Tentative Itinerary

Buses will depart from and return to the Coliseum parking lot. Vehicles may be left on campus during the trip.

Day 1: Travel to The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center by Hilton in Roanoke, VA with dinner at hotel.

Day 2: Travel to DC. Visit one (of your choice) of the Smithsonian Institution's Museums* on the National Mall; lunch on your own; Dinner at Carmines; stay at McLean Hilton.

Day 3: Visit Arlington National Cemetery; ride the Tram; visit the Marine Corps Memorial (Iwo Jima Statue), National World War II Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Korean War Veterans Memorial; lunch on your own; visit one (of your choice) of the Smithsonian Institution's Museums* on the National Mall; Pink Tour of the Tidal Basin (Pending bloom date); stops at Jefferson Memorial, Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial, and Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial; and dinner (Tony & Joe's Seafood Place at Washington Harbour, pending availability).

Day 4: Photo opportunity of the White House; visit National World War I Memorial, Washington National Cathedral, Hillwood Estate Museum and Gardens, Air Force Memorial; drive Embassy Row; and tour Old Town Alexandria with dinner at Gadsby's Tavern.

Day 5: Visit Mount Vernon; lunch on your own; tour the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum; dinner at Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse; night driving tour of various Illuminated Monuments.

Day 6: Visit the Monticello, eat lunch at the Historic Michie Tavern, depart for the Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center in Roanoke, VA.

Day 7: return to Wallace State.

*Your choice of the Smithsonian Institution's Museums include National Museum of African American History and Culture, National Museum of American History, National Air and Space Museum, National Museum of Natural History, National Museum of the American Indian, National Gallery of Art, Freer & Sackler Gallery, Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, National Museum of African Art.

Non-member rates are $100 per person higher.
