Travel Program

The WSCC Alumni Association offers a travel program for the community. There are usually six excursions a year. Depending upon the destination, transportation may be via deluxe motorcoach or via air. Group travel is a safe and cost-effective way to explore and make new friendships. Upcoming Trips:

2026 Sound of Music

Huntsville, AL

Join the Wallace State Community College Alumni Association on January 31, 2026, for a delightful day trip to Huntsville, AL, to see The Sound of Music performed by the Broadway Theater League. This heartwarming musical, featuring beloved songs like “Do-Re-Me” and “Edelweiss,” will be enjoyed from premium Orchestra 3 seating. The trip includes round-trip transportation and a delicious brunch at The Grille on Main in the Village of Providence. Tickets are $170.

2026 Southern Coastal Tour

March 16-20, 2026

Get Ready for an Unforgettable Lowcountry Adventure!
Join us March 16–20 for five incredible days exploring the charm and history of Beaufort, SC and Hilton Head Island! From a horse-drawn carriage tour through Beaufort’s antebellum streets to a behind-the-scenes look at Marine Corps history on Parris Island, every day is packed with unique experiences. Featuring a midday cruise aboard the iconic General Jackson Showboat. For $165, participants will enjoy round-trip transportation, a delicious buffet lunch, and the Tennessee Legends show—a musical celebration of the sounds that made Tennessee famous. Open to everyone, this event is sponsored by the WSCC Alumni Association.

2026 Christmas Spectacular Tour

December 7-11, 2026

Branson, MO

Experience the Magic of Christmas in Branson!

Join us December 7–11, 2026, for an unforgettable holiday adventure filled with dazzling lights, spectacular shows, and heartwarming traditions. From the awe-inspiring Miracle of Christmas at the Sight & Sound Theatre to the glittering Christmas Wonderland show and Clay Cooper’s festive Country Express, every moment will immerse you in the joy of the season. Explore the enchanting gingerbread village at Chateau on the Lake, marvel at the illuminated Nature at Night golf cart tour at Top of the Rock, and discover history at the Ancient Ozarks Natural History Museum.

This five-day getaway includes deluxe motorcoach transportation, four nights of comfortable lodging, 10 delicious meals, and all admissions. Do I have to be a former student or graduate to travel with the Alumni Association?

No, anyone may travel with the Association

Do Alumni Association members receive a discount?

Yes, members of the Association typically receive a $100 per person discount on overnight trips.

How do I join the Alumni Association?

You did not have to attend or graduate from WSCC to join the Alumni Association. Membership dues benefit WSCC student scholarships.

Do people travel alone?

Absolutely—we have people who travel alone or in groups of up to four to a room. If you would like a roommate, you can express this to the travel coordinator, and they will put you in touch with anyone else seeking a roommate.

What are the benefits of group travel?

You can leave all the planning and details to us! Just get on the bus (or plane), and we'll take you where you need to go to have a wonderful time. Group travel is a safe way to explore destinations—both new ones and those you may choose to revisit.

If a traveler requires a refund and paid by credit card, they will be refunded, less the credit card fees.
